Plenty of parking at this home. Believe it or not, this is in the flood zone and the entire structure sits on pilings because the soil is more than a little iffy. A beach home doesn't have to be up on stilts (well, not all of the time) as this relatively low slung home shows. Sometimes, raising the house up and parking underneath of it is the best use of the space and available height, here, we did the opposite, carving out a garage space to stay under the lower height restriction. ... A covered porch provides a nice opportunity to enjoy the view, the temperature, the gentle breeze, but not the rain or the sun. For much of the season, an uncovered porch just doesn't work for a lot of the day.
