Three initial design ideas for a client looking to do a major renovation of their cute, but tiny, home near the ocean. Each of these takes a different idea and runs with it. One tries to keep construction costs down by reusing as much of the original structure as possible. One does it's best to keep the cottage feel of the existing tiny house while bringing it in line with modern accessibility standards and needs. On the boards:
A facelift on an existing home. We're doing fairly massive work on the back of this house, but while we're at it, we were asked to come up with some ideas for what could be done to dress up what is a fairly boring and flat front with the provision that we are pretty much up against the setbacks so we can't really add onto it. We have to add some depth or interest to the home without actually adding any depth. Here are a bunch of variations from a couple of roof modifications to more extensive siding and roofing modifications that completely change the look of the home.
