The back of the home is where so many of our clients save some cash. Usually it makes sense, it's not easily seen, there may not be a large back yard, and everyone has a budget somewhere. A simple residence on a small lot. They were heavily constrained inside their setbacks, but the other challenge we ran into was the lack of space to put windows on the front. With the back on the water, all of the bathrooms and kitchens and other servant spaces were pushed to the front, especially on the ground floor.
