We'll be honest, our sketch work is usually more to think things through than to present to others. But tools exist now to very easily convert hard lined drawings, investigative massing models, and sloppy sketches into what looks like a very professional "sketch" which has some advantages when trying to present big ideas to people. Mostly in that it's pretty, but also less specific. A great thing about trusses, from a contractors standpoint, is that the system usually arrives with all of the required hangers. This picture of an engineered girder truss supporting large trusses has been meticulously detailed via shop drawings to just work. All the contractor has to do is follow those directions and they're assured of a simple to build and stable structure. No guessing. No modifications.
